Funny to think that the name of one of my favorite bands of recent years is a street to you. 🙂
I gather they rented a house on Sleater-Kinney Road, back when they got started. Thus the name.
(Remember, Olympia is the epicenter of grunge & riot grrls.)
Although, yes, to me it’s just the road where I get off the bus for the vanpool, where Target and Fred Meyer and Office Depot are. And the first place where the leaves start to turn around here, too.
