In no particular order:
- sleep (more, up to a point, is better. regular & quality is key)
- exercise (as much as possible)
- medication (to maintain a baseline)
- food (reasonable habits)
- hormones (I just have to be prepared)
- balance of solitude & socializing
- light (natural best, fluorescent worst)
- length of to-do list (shorter better)
With the coming of fall, I’ve had to add more light, especially in the morning, and deliberate exercise. I’m a little nervous about the next few months (now thru Feb), so I’m being extra-careful with all the variables that I have any control over, and with how I think about my moods. Wish me luck.
