This evening I finally got the updated Eastside Neighborhood Association website posted. It has a new design, incorporating the new logo. I switched from LucidCMS to WordPress. And I added a cute little Google Map to the home page.
Why the change in CMS?
I began to realize that the blog features were really key, as most of the changes to the site involved meeting notices and minutes. Then it occurred to me that it’d be nice for the president to be able to email directly to the site, instead of logging in. Plus WP is just a bigger project, which has its own benefits.
I still need to re-import old agendas, minutes, and newsletters, but it’s far enough done that I can move on to the next project! (I do have this wacky idea for a flickr group for the neighborhood, though….)
