rassafrassing traffic

Like I said in the last post, today I’m working in Puyallup (the other college, on the other side of the county), which means I took the bus.? I’ve done this before a few times, and it’s a pretty mellow experience.? Two of the three buses are express routes, and everything is just stepping out of one bus and stepping onto another.

Except that this morning highway 512 had craptacular traffic.? Not as bad as it can be, but slow.? And as my bus pulled into the transit center, the bus I wanted to catch pulled out.? Two minutes early.? (Insert cursing rant here.)? The next bus is due in an hour.
This is what I get for attempting to do the right thing?

I could probably walk it, but with my laptop in it, my bag is just a little too heavy, and it’s just a little too far.? So I’m camped out at Starbucks, paying for wifi, which I hate, but I really do need to be able to check email and get started on my work day.? At least the “day pass” is good for 24 hours spread out over four months, so it won’t be a total waste. And their breakfast sandwiches are pretty good.? (I still had most of my tea left from my stop at B&B this morning!)

To wrap up on a more positive note, I had a lightbulb moment re: my long-suffering novel this morning.? That slow traffic even gave me a little time to write up some notes.
